Dr. Unyong Tina Jang, OD
Dr. Jang completed a degree of Bachelor Science at the University of Waterloo and received her Doctor of Optometry in 2006 from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. During her internship, Dr. Jang was exposed to diagnosing and treating various ocular diseases at Veteran Hospitals in the United States. She has spent extensive time at VA Connecticut Health Care:
Eastern Blind Rehabilitation Center treating various low vision cases consist of end-stage glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and other diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa. The experience truly helped her realize more why she is in the field of optometry. Furthermore, her experience in Kresge Eye Institute in Michigan widened her scope to fit specialty contact lenses for keratoconus and to manage and prescribe therapeutics to treat dry eyes and contact lens-related infections.
After her graduation Dr. Jang decided to stay in Michigan for two years where she gained extensive experience in primary eye care consisting of full scope in prescribing therapeutics, managing glaucoma and other ocular diseases, and prescribing contact lenses.
Dr. Jang returned to Canada in 2008 and has been working at a full-scope private practice setting.
Currently, she is pursuing a fellowship with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Her special interest in vision rehabilitation and vision therapy for patients with acquired brain injury (ABI)/ Post concussion.
She holds a member of Vision Therapy Canada (VTC), member of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), member of Optometry Extension Program Foundation (OEPF), and a member of College of Syntonics (SCO).


Dr. Brittany Mascarenhas
Dr. Mascarenhas is a passionate & dedicated optometrist who graduated from the University of Waterloo with her Bachelor of Honours Science and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Her clinical training provided her with the opportunity to practice in a wide range of clinical settings, among diverse patient demographics. Dr. Mascarenhas’ experience in the optometric field includes eye surgery post-op care and chronic disease management including dry eyes and cataracts, at an optometry and ophthalmology clinic in Arizona. In North Carolina, focused on primary eye care and contact lens fittings. She gained experience diagnosing and managing conditions such as macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma at the Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Dr. Mascarenhas has a special interest in specialty contact lenses and myopia control management, including Orthokeratology. Not only can she prescribe Ortho-K, but she is an Ortho-K patient herself.
She is dedicated to providing high-quality comprehensive eye care in a
patient-focused environment.
Our doctors are members of good standing in the Canadian Association of Optometrists,
Ontario Association of Optometrists, and College of Optometrists of Ontario.
The doctors also meet and have been accredited to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceuticals in Ontario as well as in the United States.
